This is my new design for our nations flag. Don’t get me wrong, I love America. I firmly believe that it is the greatest place in the world, but I feel that it’s not going to be for much longer, if things keep heading in the direction they have been. Right now I see America as a big joke. I see other nations laughing at us. I laugh at America when I see some of our “spectacular” government programs such as the department of motor vehicles or our criminal justice system in operation. I laugh when I see a very small percentage of our country living like kings so that the rest of us can struggle to be lower middle class. I laugh when I see all of our jobs being outsourced and all of our money being thrown into war and prisons instead of our educational systems. Have Americans forgot how to work together as a whole? Has greed, corruption, and technology blinded our citizens from seeing what really matters in life? I see a monumental change quickly approaching the future. An uprising like America has never seen before…
The image is interesting and a good start. How do you see your “little figures” as playing into the joke that you see?

I love that you have a strong point of view and that your images support your disatifaction with the current state of affairs. I can tell you feel passionately about the world and your place in it. I always look forward to cheking out your blog entries. Do the sperm represent the future because the present is so bleak?
I think the simplicity in your message leaves the viewer to make what they will. Is it about over population is it what we are breeding… instead of stars shining we are propagating ..what?

I can understand that America is criticized and laughed by almost every nation on the planet, but I don’t understand the sperm reference. I would have played off a more common American stereotype like obesity and a lack of education.

I would like to see how this flag is explained as a joke in America. Give me more to go on. Other than that I like how the sperm is representing out 50 states. Good job on the flag.
